as I move my feet

Life is good.
And not in that way where you're just content, or okay with how things are currently, but that rare time where everything around you seems to be going your way.
I found a sweet boy to take me home and reflect my smile.
I got into the college I have been dreaming of attending ever since I landed in Gainesville almost three years ago.
My friends are all in a good place in their lives.
My mother is finally bettering hers.
My brother is about to graduate high school.
The sun has been peeking through the clouds as often as I can taste the heat of summer in the air.
My cats are dirty and happy.
My father is proud.
And I'm about to embark on an adventure to New York with two of my favorite, most stable friends. I've waited so long to say this, and to mean it, but in this moment, I am happy.
Or maybe that's an understatement.

"What matters most is how well you walk through fire."

I think I've been walking miles, but now I'm home.
